The Dragon

Happy Chinese New Year - Year of the Dragon
(1916, 1928, 1940, 1952, 1964, 1976, 1988, 2000, and 2012)
The year of the dragon is traditionally associated with new beginnings and good fortune.  According to Chinese astrology, people born on the year of the dragon are said to be strong, self-assured, eccentric, intellectual, and passionate, among other things.

In fact, for centuries in Chinese culture the dragon has been considered one of the luckiest signs of the zodiac. Conformity is for others. Dragons go their own way! Not shy by any means, dragons are often faulted for running off at the mouth with a swaggering overconfidence. Their generous natures can also result in betting unwisely on a 'sure' thing. This may sometimes result in uncharacteristic personal misfortune. With dragons, however, bad luck never seems to last for long.

Hopefully I will share the luck of the dragon this year!
